Gault&Millau's review 2026
Chef's Restaurant
One might be wary of a tagline like “Saudi fusion”, a term that’s often overused and misused. Yet this large, contemporary, rather chic dining room with its dim lighting has real talent in the kitchen and lives up to its promise: proudly Najdi roots, respectful twists, and overall a clever adaptation in terms of taste and indulgence such as the mantus (meat-filled dumplings) served with a great ponzu sauce, the fresh and punchy najel ceviche, or the jareesh “italianised” with parmesan and a rich lamb gravy over tender confit meat mixed with soft semolina. Service—special mention to Hattan—is both efficient and full of good advice, guiding you all the way to the creamy, milky Om Ali prepared like French toasts.
