As with its Jeddah counterpart, this Lebanese-influenced restaurant of Saudi specialties lives up to its ranking, with dishes executed faithfully and therefore simply, without any attempt to polish up the desert heritage for the city, and delivering local flavors with a gentle touch. Good crispy meat samboussas, lacking just a little softness, melt-in-your-mouth red groats, like a family dish that warms body and soul, the moussaka offers another good vegetarian alternative, and the traditional freshly baked kunafa, both crispy and molten with its creamy heart, ends the meal with a touch of nobility. Simple, friendly welcome and service staff in a supportive atmosphere.
