Gault&Millau's review 2026

A striking contrast between the immediate environment (dense traffic, concrete and glass commercial cells) and this restaurant, a reflection of traditional Saudi cuisine. All you have to do is push open an attractive wooden door to immerse yourself. Very bright, elegant and comfortable, the large dining room on the first floor is thoughtfully decorated with colorful tables and a mural inspired by a village scene. The upstairs room is more secluded. As soon as you're seated, the welcome drink with a few dates is a pleasant illustration of local hospitality. Pursuing with these three small turnovers of thin, crispy dough stuffed with a meat minced delicately flavored with spices ("puff hegazy"). A good choice to continue our discovery of marqoq, a stew of eggplant, zucchini and carrots, well preserved in a meat broth with just the right amount of spice and topped with bread. The end of the meal calls for an intense sweetness ("basbosa with cream") nicely presented in the form of a traditional dessert made with semolina, eggs, yoghurt... From the moment you are welcomed to the moment you leave, the staff are always smiling and attentive.
