Gault&Millau's review 2026

The Lucky Lama envisioned by chef Nihal Felemban, born of a Saudi father and a Moroccan mother, is without a doubt one of our favorites in Jeddah. After traveling the world, the young woman decided to create a restaurant dedicated to Nikkei cuisine, which blends Peruvian and Japanese influences in a joyful melting pot. In this delightfully contemporary dining room, with its well-designed lighting (you may also prefer to sit on the mezzanine), you can happily pick from the menu of nigiri (ginger/wagyu, tuna/ponzu, salmon/black garlic...), sushi and ceviche, impeccably dressed and with truly dazzling flavors. Some more classic dishes (sea bass with miso, black angus beef fillet with takikomi sauce, grilled octopus) and deliciously regressive desserts, with tasty churros accompanied by vanilla and white miso ice cream. Service keeping a safe distance, in a quite relaxed atmosphere.
