Gault&Millau's review 2026

Also present in Dubai, Signor Sassi, whose story began in London over forty years ago, has found a superb setting in Riyadh that matches the ambitions of this chic ristorante. A beautiful villa behind a wrought-iron gate, with its garden under a glass roof and efficient air conditioning, offers great comfort for visitors and very attentive service. The menu is enticing, with well-presented dishes offering very decent Italian cuisine, a slightly creamy chanterelle risotto, firm lamb chops with the chef’s “signature” Ligurian-style sauce, rich like a balsamic reduction, and a pleasant chocolate hazelnut dessert, the “Rocher Sassi.” All drawn from a wide menu that is sure to satisfy cravings, ranging from antipasti, pizzas, pasta, ravioli, and risottos to meat dishes, complemented by a few classic fish dishes, such as Dover sole meunière or sea bass with lemon sauce. A selection of mocktails, good coffee, and a substantial bill, around 600 SAR.
