If you're looking for a reliable reference of Lebanese cuisine in the KSA, you'll easily opt for Shababik, with locations in the country's two largest cities. The soothing, noise-isolated atmosphere of the large dining room on the second floor, where you can easily choose your table, creates a comfortable setting in which to enjoy the classics: mustabal and tabbouleh are beyond reproach, easily taken from the long menu of hot and cold mezze, as are the mixed pastries, minced meat, cheese and spinach, each of equal quality, along with the vine leaves. The mixed grill : medium-rare but moist beef, chicken supreme, kefta; with tomato galettes approaching a toque, the mouhalabieh is modest, very sweet, sprinkled with pistachio. Service is discreet yet friendly and efficient, limited drinks menu.
