Mr. Chow Riyadh in the King Abdullah Financial District offers a cool, sophisticated yet quirky atmosphere with mood lighting, neon signs and a well-thought-out layout. The modern, minimalist decor — with chrome accents, limestone floors and a striking LED ceiling featuring local motifs — feels fresh and stylish, matching the restaurant’s blend of tradition and innovation The menu presents a taste of Beijing with a mix of meat, poultry and fish dishes. The classic soup dumplings were superb — thin, delicate wrappers encasing tender beef and rich, warming broth with a subtle spicy kick. The famous handmade Beijing noodles on the other hand were fresh but came with a surprising Bolognese-like red sauce — an unexpected twist that felt and tasted a bit odd but captured Mr. Chow’s eccentric charm. Expect a refined experience with strong design and service, paired with food that’s somewhat inconsistent in taste. Oh, and be prepared for a high bill.
