Located inside Maraya AlUla, the world’s largest mirrored building, the restaurant benefits from an exceptional and almost surreal setting. The terrace, framed by the sandstone mountains, is particularly magical at daylight and remains one of the most atmospheric dining spots in the region. Indoors, lush greenery, marble textures, and warm lighting create a refined yet comfortable environment. The cuisine, shaped by chef Jason Atherton, embraces contemporary Mediterranean inspirations with polished execution and generous flavours. Among the highlights, the AlUla Citrus Cured Salmon stands out for its freshness and balance, lifted by smoked yogurt, cucumber salsa, and a crisp nori crouton. The wood-fired prawns reveal clean seasoning and honest cooking, in line with the chef’s preference for clarity over complication. Service is one of the restaurant’s strengths: attentive without excess, delivered by a professional team and a manager who remains visibly present throughout the evening. The rhythm is smooth, and interactions feel both personal and measured. The restaurant closes during the hottest months—June, July, August until mid-September—preserving the quality of the experience in such an extreme setting. Overall, Maraya Social offers a refined yet approachable interpretation of modern dining, elevated by a breathtaking location and a consistently well-orchestrated service.
