In a small complex housing several restaurants, Kumar delivers Indian cuisine in a spacious setting with a certain simplicity. Although all the classics of the subcontinent are present on the extensive menu, prices are fairly gentle, and the well-paced lounge music creates a pleasant family-friendly atmosphere. Portions are naturally generous and easy to share; the samosas are a bit dry and the cheese naan quite rich, ideal for accompanying, for instance, a generous lamb biryani (they thoughtfully ask about your preferred “spicy level” at the beginning of the meal). You might finish with the almond-flavored gulab jamun served with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, accompanied by tea or the traditional lassi.
