On the ground floor of the Kempinski Hotel, tucked away at the far end of the lobby past the elevators, this discreet restaurant leans on the clichés to emphasize its Italian theme, between the photo of Al Pacino and the waiters' berets, checked shirts and suspenders. The menu is crowd-pleasing, as is the execution, with decent pizzas, a few pasta dishes with quality ingredients, truffles, pesto alla genovese, local cheeses, a slightly bland but decent minestrone, as are the prices, with a pleasant business lunch menu at 99 SAR. The menu offers choice and good products, and the simplest recipes turn out to be the best.
