The Lapérouse group clearly intends to expand into every emerging festive destination, as shown by its upcoming opening in Tashkent. For now, Jeddah is the only location outside France for this Parisian franchise known for creating a lively atmosphere. Whether in the veranda for smokers or in the main dining room with its grand chandeliers and soft lighting, people come with family or friends to celebrate birthdays and enjoy a wide menu with few and distanced Frenchy accents, supported by familiar symbols like the baguette and butter placed on the table at the start of the meal. The sea bass tartare with jalapeños is a bit dry but substantial, the chicken breast, served with a thick, creamy mushroom sauce, is carried by the honest quality of the poultry and the accompanying mashed potatoes. The highlight is the classic Gâteau au Chocolat Sénateur, already emblematic of the brand, with its ganache and mousse in perfect balance. The mocktail list is quite extensive, and the service is full of attentiveness, led by a very dedicated Lebanese manager.
