Gault&Millau's review 2026

An impressive house, with its majestic wooden door, like a museum of living culture and Saudi culinary art in particular. Large family gatherings take place in this vast, windowless first-floor dining room, decorated with embroidery on the columns and walls. The samosas are light and thin, well garnished with minced camel meat and a delicate spicy sauce, the lamb "mashkoul", with its slightly fatty pieces, seems quite typical, with its two types of rice, all blending in harmony, meat fat, spices, crushed almonds... Om Ali's a must-have dessert, with qursan, the traditional bread here in a "French toast" version with dried fruit. Service is prompt and busy, and there are plenty of staff to keep up with demand.
